"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind you persevere; because you have committed. Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord the Lord is the strength of the centuries"(Isaiah 26:3-4)
COMPLEMENTARY passage: Psalm 119:165, Philippians 4:7
All of us yearn for experience peace and quiet, living quietly, enjoying the calm waters so to speak; that desire becomes a constant search and sometimes we don't get the results, even if you are desperately looking for that much-desired peace.
The way that the Lord shows to get that peace does not seem so hard: It makes us a special calling to make his word our daily food, our constant meditation.
Say that we have trusted in God, it means that we've put before him our life completely, that we have renounced control, that we have withdrawn to the search for solutions limited to our minds; that is, that we have given complete control to the Lord, not only while there is the moment of difficulty, but forever, and in that decision, we shall go.

When we put our trust in other people, or cling to material possessions, we can see that things work out for a while; but we will never experience the peace and tranquility that eagerly desire and which the Lord promises us. Sometimes ask the Lord your care and protection, without having taken the firm decision of surrendering to him completely. We wish to him care of us, but we are not willing to leave us in his arms. In this way it is very difficult to enjoy the provision of care and peace that the Lord wants to give us, since if we have not trusted, it is because we have not dropped or detached of our reasons, and we believe to have the solution in our hands.
Rely therefore is an act which is committed all our being, our souls, our hearts, our will and thoughts; Let us remember that God is the strength of the centuries.

"Lord thank you for allowing us to be in your presence, today we ask that you capacities our hearts so needy of your peace, that peace that we've longed and have unsuccessfully sought in so many places and people. Today, we know that only you can help me it; why we ask Lord that you would teach us to rely on Ti, to enjoy such a wonderful benefit as it is your care, your peace and your strength, who love your Word enjoy much peace and don't suffer any stumbling block. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, keep your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Amen
