"And the Lord said unto him: I have heard your prayer and your petition you have done in my presence, I have hallowed this House than your ever built, to put my name there for ever;" and it will be my eyes and my heart every day." (1 Kings 9:3)

COMPLEMENTARY passage: 1 Kings 8:28-30

The King Solomon following instruction of David his father, embarks on a great work: Build the temple for Jehovah of Israel Dios. To dedicate this beautiful place Solomon makes a prayer so deeply and at the same time so simple, full of wisdom that touches the heart of God.

Generally, Solomon asks in his prayer, is that Dios declares that temple as a holy, sacred place and also becomes a permanent House of prayer, also asks that any prayer that is made in this place, has a special appreciation of God and an effective response has to be asked there.

The Dios of Israel response was overwhelming and permanent, remember:

• Today is known there as the wailing wall

• We have gone there to pray, to ask, we can today give testimony to the effective response to each request

• Millions of pilgrims annually go to that place to meet the Dios of Israel

• A part of the people of Israel maintains the wall as the most sacred and holy place

• Many have understood that this is the place that God chose to dwell in the land and that he is the one and only true God (2 Chronicles 7:15-16)

We have in this, a wonderful and powerful example of answered prayer. We take breath to keep praying, seeking the answers of God not only to our needs, but also to all humanity.

"Thank you Lord for this new opportunity to life with Ti, for making of the Temple of Jerusalem a place so special for an unforgettable encounter with you." Thank you for making us, through Jesus Christ, a living temple where you dwell permanently through your holy spirit. That your presence shine in us, that we fulfill the Mission for which you chose us and we can live to honor your name. However, oh Lord, my God, turn to prayer and the prayer of your servant, to hear the cry and the prayer which your servant makes today in front of you. They are open your eyes night and day to this temple, to the place from which you've said: 'There will be my name', to listen to the prayer which your servant do to this place. You hear the prayer of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Listen to you instead of your dwelling in the heavens; listen to you and forgives." Amen.
