“… "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he you may exalt where time" (1 Peter 5:6)

COMPLEMENTARY passage: Luke 18:9-14

The term "humble yourself", is defined as: lowered voluntarily. Bend the pride. Lower. Fold. Get on your knees. Remove someone from their status. Give up your will.

These phrases represent conditions that the man would not want to live for no reason. All human beings seek success and recognition of others. The vast majority has dedicated his life and does whatever is necessary in order to be recognized by others. Many times, in order to achieve their goals, they end up sacrificing the really important as your family or your health. They obtain partial successes, which, in the end, only to leave them a sense of vacuum and failure.

God as father wants the best for their children and that they can progress and fly very high. He wants each of his children to live a life of excellence and reflects his glory to the world. It undertakes to bless the man and to thrive in a comprehensive way, but has also established the way to make this happen: that man is humble before him.

Only one who learns to depend on God, believing, obeying him in everything, surrendering their will to it, living for their plans and divine purposes, will experience complete blessing, which covers all aspects of his life. Our ultimate example of humiliation before God was Jesus Christ, who is stripped out of love for us his divine status, taking the form of servant and exposing himself to the reproach and death. But the Justice of God would not wait. Also I highly exalted him, giving him a name which is above every name, placing it above everything created, set him at his right hand and exalting him: "... so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and on Earth, and under and the land;" and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of Dios Padre"(Philippians 2:10-11)

Front of who we humble ourselves, man or God? What successful look, which gives the world or that God gives?

“Lord, with humility we thank you for this new day in our lives, thank you very much for teaching us to bend our lives in front of you. Today we are to obey and surrender our will. Today we understand that the exaltation that is worth looking for is what you give as King and Lord of all that exists and not fleeting and illusory success that we can offer the world. Ask Father God not you turn your spirit within us that we guide you in righteousness and allow us to dwell inside you. Help us to rely on Ti, believing and obeying at all, so in the name of Jesus every knee we bend and confess that Jesus Christ is our Lord, to the glory of Dios Padre". Amen
