GOD, A LOVING FATHER
"As the father has loved me, so also I have loved; abide in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; as well as I have kept my father's commandments, and abide in his love." (Juan 15.9-10)
COMPLEMENTARY passage: 1 John 4:7-21
The Gospel of John contains a total of 879 verses and more than 30% of these relate to the relation father - son that Jesus Christ enjoyed and we always wanted to teach.
Undoubtedly, the experience that a child has with his father is crucial to achieve a life of balance and overall health, as well as of fullness and fulfillment.
If a child sees his father as a master, a demanding, annoying, being will end bitter with life, roots of bitterness that will end up contaminating everything that comes their way will grow in their hearts, and surely, his days will be sad, full of restlessness, scarcity and defeat. On the other hand, if a child sees a father with acceptance and respect, then this honor will open doors and possibilities that not even expected.
In the expression: "As the father has loved me", reveals the love as the essence of an eternal relationship. Jesus felt loved and, therefore, felt great and deep trust to accomplish everything the father asked. There was no fear but joy in obeying and doing his will. This made him stay in the enjoyment of his love. A wonderful thing was to what the Lord Jesus was not willing to give up. This deep, true love relationship strengthened it to take the decision to lay down his life for the salvation of humanity. Therefore, we can say that it is love which saves, what healthy, which makes live.
But in addition, this love when it is received, it is inevitable to give it. It is transmitted to others and continue saving, healing, giving life to his step. "So also I have loved...", hoping that in our heart is generated the same security, the same confidence and the same provision to do his will. The final order of Jesus Christ to his disciples abide in my love!, does not remain in a religion, but in his love. Love is a decision that comes from the heart. For this reason, we decide to love today! Dios Padre, Dios Hijo and God the Holy Spirit crave to have our love so that we may know and live everything what the most loving father gives and makes for children.Do believe that God is our father or our master? Let us review this in our hearts, let us pray and adjust our relationship with Amor Dios.
